He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering (1999), a master’s degree (2002), and a Ph.D. (2006) in Chemical Engineering, all from the Federal University of Uberlândia. He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia, working primarily on the following topics: granulation, rotary drums, mills, drying, pyrolysis, solid-liquid separation, spouted beds, modeling, CFD, fluid dynamics, and cyclones. He served as a tutor for the Tutorial Education Program (PET) from May 2011 to March 2015 and was the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering at the Federal University of Uberlândia from May 2019 to March 2022.
